Mission Statement

Kids First Medina, a group of volunteers, helps to provide a voice to our community members, families and students of Medina City Schools to help shape educational opportunities for our students.

During this challenging time, Kids First Medina would like to spotlight Medina City School teachers/staff going above and beyond helping students and families. If you have a story of a teacher or staff member going above and beyond, please email us at kidsfirstmedina@gmail.com. Your name will not be used unless you give us permission. If you also have pictures to share, we will add those with your permission, as well. We will keep adding stories to the list until this time of crisis is over. Medina cares for their students!

Here are some tips to keep your student organized while virtual learning!

Staying motivated and organized during distance learning

  1. Use a planner. Record when your assignments and exams are due in a planner, and check it every morning to make sure that you are on track in every class.
  2. Stick to a schedule.
  3. Set goals for the rest of the semester.
  4. Take breaks when you need them.
  5. Check your email.
  6. Ask for help when you need it.
  7. Set out a designated workspace.
  8. Eliminate distractions.
